"…And the hard work paid off"

I have to start this new article of our blog with two words "Thank You" and whoever is reading this now and have met Cao Chocolates team know we mean every single word and our gratitude is infinite to all clients, family,  friends and supporters.

About six weeks ago we opened the doors of our first Chocolate Atelier in a two days celebration round. The first celebration was opening our doors and celebrating my birthday the same day Oct 15, 2012 and then one day later we celebrated our Grand opening in company of close friends and family also celebrating the 8th year anniversary we moved from Venezuela and became immigrants working towards the American dream.

Every single morning I walk into my chocolate paradise where I have no limitations to creativity and dare to experiment with any ingredient I want or my clients want. The greatest feeling is to understand that part of my job description (if I can call this amazing dream a job) is to make someone smile every time they try our confections and take the risk to try unconventional flavors and textures in chocolate.
Once someone walk into our Atelier they agree in one statement "It's very hard to leave" and every day we make it harder with new recipes, confections, events, and classes!

The only way to understand what we -yes, we include all the lovely chocolate fans and family- are talking about is to open the door of our Atelier and say Hi! then enjoy the journey with no return to a conventional chocolate world.

Love and Peace

Cao

P.S.: Our chocolate shop is located in Miami at 9804 SW 77th Ave, Miami, FL 33156

Welcome to the Dark Side of the Miami Chocolate Festival at Fairchild Tropical Garden

--> It’s hard to believe after all the preparation, production and, expectations, the Fairchild Tropical Garden Chocolate Festival is over.   This year –our second- was unbelievable for Cao Chocolates and also for me personally. I don’t have enough words to express my gratitude to all the attendees and staff for their support and friendship. We had the most amazing customers who became friends rapidly after our unforgettable conversations about cacao (not just chocolate) and the beauty of this amazing fruit. Cao Chocolates Truffles: Spice Caramel, Passion Fruit, Almond Crunchy, Hazelnut and almonds, Guava & Dulce de leche, Salted Caramel. Photo courtesy of Fairchild Tropical Garden I also had the opportunity to share my knowledge with one of the lectures on Sunday afternoon about cacao and the importance of appreciating, respecting and supporting farmers without forgetting the difference in quality between our artisan confections versus mass pro...

You are a business owner and understand that your customers are the oxygen of your business. You will stay in business as long as your customer come and generate revenue for your company. So, take in consideration that customer appreciation matter. Do not overlook at it and start giving thanks to the people who keep your doors open. Mistakenly, many businesses wait until the end of the year to send an extra token to their customers. You don’t need to wait for the holidays to do that. Why Does Customer Appreciation Matter? Customer appreciation seems more like a company value than an essential business strategy. Some businesses may choose to prioritize their customers more than others. But customer appreciation should be a priority for every business for a few reasons.    Customer appreciation helps improve customer retention. Happy customers turn into repeat customers. Shoppers and clients are more likely to come back again and again when they feel t...

Antioxidants in Dark Chocolate

Dark chocolate is loaded with flavonoids, antioxidants that have been shown in medical studies to offer protection to the vascular system, heart and brain. As more studies associate an increasing number of health benefits to its high anti-oxidant content, dark chocolate has become a celebrity food. What Are Antioxidants? Antioxidants are plant compounds that researchers believe help fight the cell damage caused by too many free radicals in the body. There are thousands of types of antioxidants and they are abundant in plant-based foods. Antioxidants are believed to reduce the risk of certain diseases, including heart disease. In fact, a 2010 Harvard study published in "Circulation: Heart Failure," a journal of the American Heart Association, showed a 32 percent reduction in the risk of heart failure development in women who ate 1 to 3 servings of dark chocolate -- 30 percent cocoa content -- per month. It is important to note, however, that increased serving...
